Scott Reed

Chief Executive Officer

Scott Reed is the CEO of Hardy Reed, LLC, a leading investment firm specializing in fiduciary management. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® (AIFA®), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), CEFEX analyst, Professional Plan Consultant® (PPC®) and has received a Foundations and Endowment Certificate from Investment Management Consultants Association through the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.

A 1976 graduate of Tupelo High School, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. He did post-graduate studies at the University of Mississippi until being pulled away to start a branch of Hilliard Lyons, Inc. brokerage firm in Tupelo, Mississippi, the first branch of a brokerage firm to locate in North Mississippi. 

Scott has been an avid outdoorsman his whole life. He still enjoys sharing his love of the outdoors which has taken him from climbing tall mountains to paddling whitewater rivers all around the world. Scott is also a competitive tennis player and has won four State Tennis Championships. 

He worked as a clothing buyer for Hart Schaffner & Marx in Houston, Texas, after college until he joined R.W. Reed Co. in 1981. He became an investment broker with J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons, Inc. in 1985 and worked there until 2006, having served as branch manager and first vice president. Scott and his business partner since 1987, John C. Hardy, started Hardy Reed, LLC in 2006. Investment Advisor Magazine named Hardy Reed one of the largest fee only registered investment advisory firms in Mississippi in 2017.They currently oversee in excess of $3 billion dollars in assets under management and advisement.

Scott’s book, “Top 50 Rules of Investing,” was released in 2024 and is currently being printed in five languages.  He has written a syndicated financial column since 1991 focused on investment philosophy, and he has spoken to many national and regional conferences dealing with fiduciary excellence and investment ethics.

He was named to the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 1997, received the Julius G. Berry Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service from the United Way of Northeast Mississippi, and The Red Rasberry Humanitarian Award from the Regional Rehabilitation Center in 2023. In addition, Scott has served on more than 30 nonprofit boards.

Scott is a prolific speaker across the country on issues pertaining to the fiduciary standard of care for investment professionals, as well as business ethics. He has served on the committee that rewrote the code of ethics for the Investment and Wealth Institute as well as Chairman of their Promotion and Advancement of Certification Excellence (PACE) committee. He now serves on their CIMA® Commission that oversees the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, as well as the Certification Oversight Committee for the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® (AIFA®) designations.

John Hardy

President

In 2006 John Hardy founded Hardy Reed with partner, Scott Reed. He is a firm principal and president today.

He began his investment career in 1982 when he joined Chandler Securities in Columbus, Mississippi before moving to the J.J.B Hilliard, W.L. Lyon, Inc., brokerage firm where he met his present-day partner, Scott Reed.

In 2000 John completed the Securities Industry Institute program, sponsored by the Securities Industry Association and The Wharton School of Business. He also graduated from the Endowments and Foundations class sponsored by The Wharton School of Business and the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA®), where he is an active member. John received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi in 1982.

He is also a Certified Investment Management Analyst®(CIMA®), a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®), and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®).

Civic Interests: He is past president of the Gardner Simmons Home for Girls and chairs the investment committee at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. He also served on the vestry of All Saints Church in Tupelo and as a Big Brother to area youth.

Anita Giglio

Vice President OF CLIENT SERVICES

I am the Vice President of Client Services at Hardy Reed, LLC, an independent CEFEX-certified investment advisory, fiduciary consultant, and retirement plan services firm. In this position, I oversee all client relations and administrative duties at Hardy Reed. I work directly with clients and their accounts at our firm, handling areas such as cashiering, maintenance, updates, and establishing new accounts. Additionally, I collaborate with clients’ other advisors, including attorneys and CPAs. I have oversight over the firm’s trading department and help with the firm’s human resources, benefits, and accounts payable.

In addition to my day-to-day responsibilities, I am proud to be one of the founding members of Hardy Reed, which began business in 2006. Due to my history with the firm, I serve on its management team, helping guide the firm in its growth and set strategy for its future.

With over thirty-five years of experience in this field, I bring expertise and a deep understanding of the operational side of wealth management to every client relationship at Hardy Reed.

Ken Parkinson

Vice President of FIDUCIARY MANAGEMENT

Ken leads Hardy Reed’s retirement plan services division as Vice President of Fiduciary Management and serves as chair of the Investment Committee.

When Ken moved to Hardy Reed in 2009, he brought with him 15 years of experience in group plan design, employee education, and holistic financial planning at one of the country’s largest retirement planning firms. Ken has served corporations, healthcare, government and university employers.

Ken is a native of Georgia where he graduated from Berry College with a double major in economics and psychology.

Ken has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™ (AIFA®), Professional Plan Consultant™ (PPC™), and Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®) designations. Ken is also a CEFEX Analyst, having met the criteria established by the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX). He has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility.

Civic Interests: Ken is an active member of the Lafayette-Oxford Foundation for Tomorrow and the Oxford Endowment for Public Education. He is also a clean-water advocate and trained volunteer for Living Waters for the World, whose Oxford team recently installed a community water purification system in the Yucatan region of Mexico.

Medora Justus

Vice President of Wealth Management

Medora Justus serves as Vice President of Wealth Management at Hardy Reed, where she has been helping individuals and families make confident, informed financial decisions since 2014. Known for her thoughtful and personal approach, Medora is passionate about helping clients connect their financial resources with what matters most in their lives.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Certified Private Wealth Advisor designee (CPWA®), and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Medora brings both deep technical expertise and genuine care to every client relationship. She is especially interested in the financial psychology of women and families and enjoys helping clients navigate complex decisions with clarity and confidence.

Before joining Hardy Reed, Medora worked for a Fortune 500 financial services firm, where she helped advisors design tax-efficient retirement income and investment strategies to reduce risk and support long-term goals. She also served as an adjunct instructor at The University of Mississippi School of Business Administration, teaching upper-level finance courses.

Originally from Greenville, Mississippi, Medora earned both her B.B.A. and M.B.A. from The University of Mississippi. She is active in her community and values service and connection. Medora has served as Treasurer and on the Finance and Investment Committee at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, as well as Treasurer and Co-Chair of Harvest Supper for the Friends of the Museum and Historic Houses. She currently serves on the Boards of LOFT (Lafayette Oxford Foundation for Tomorrow) and the Women’s Foundation of Mississippi.

Jackie Armstrong

Director of Client Services

Jackie brings over 32 years of investment industry experience, having launched her career in 1993 at Deposit Guaranty National Bank. She joined Hardy Reed in 2005, where she continues to play a vital role in the firm’s operations.
 

At Hardy Reed, Jackie is responsible for a range of essential functions including account reviews, performance reporting, mutual fund due diligence, billing, and trading.

Civic Involvement: An active member of the Tupelo community, Jackie has volunteered with numerous organizations such as the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and Stewpot. She currently serves on the board of the Tupelo Elvis Presley Fan Club, where she helps continue Elvis Presley’s legacy of charitable giving. In this role, she acts as Merchandise Chairman and has previously served as Secretary.

Rick Hill

Vice President of Financial Planning

As a Senior Wealth Manager at Hardy Reed, Rick focuses on providing wealth management solutions for successful individuals and their families. Areas he addresses include preserving wealth, mitigating taxes, taking care of heirs, and charitable giving. Rick began his financial services career in 1991 with J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons, Inc., a regional financial services firm and joined Hardy Reed, LLC when the firm opened in 2006.

Rick graduated from Mississippi State University, earning degrees in engineering technology and business management. He has earned his CFP® certification as well as the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™ (AIFA®) designation. Rick is also a CEFEX Analyst, having met the criteria established by the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX). He has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility. Rick is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Northeast MS where he serves on the Board and is a Past President.

Civic Interests: Before joining Hilliard Lyons, Rick was an Industrial Engineer with True Temper Sports. He is an active member of Kiwanis of Tupelo where he was past President. Rick serves on the board of the Regional Rehab Center. Rick is a 2014 graduate of the Jim Ingram Community Leadership Institute.

Brandy Stanford

Senior Financial Advisor

Brandy Stanford joined Hardy Reed in 2024 as a Senior Financial Advisor, where she specializes in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive investment portfolios for both institutional and private clients. She brings over twelve years of experience in wealth management, with deep expertise in trust and estate administration and fiduciary investment oversight.
 
Brandy holds a BBA in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi. She is a Series 65 license holder and has earned multiple professional designations, including Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) through Broadridge, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor® (CTFA®) through the Institute of Certified Bankers, and Accredited Trust and Financial Advisor (ATFA) through Campbell University.

Based in Tupelo, Brandy enjoys life with her husband, Luke, and their three children—Addy, Owen, and Ellis. Outside of work, she loves traveling, spending time outdoors, and cheering on her kids at various sporting events, especially on the soccer field.

Civic Engagement: Brandy is actively involved in her community through various board positions and leadership roles in community, school, and sports booster organizations. She volunteers with United Way of Northeast Mississippi, currently serving as Chair of the Community Impact Cabinet. She is also a graduate of the Jim Ingram Community Leadership Institute.

Brandon Blinson

Trading and Research Analyst

Brandon joins Hardy Reed, LLC as a Trading and Research Analyst, providing investment research and management for outstanding service and support of clients. Brandon’s previous experience was serving as an Information Systems Specialist for over eleven years with Central Service Association and most recently with the City of Tupelo. There, he held a pivotal role as an IT specialist, performing tasks such as auditing, reporting, billing, system analytics, and leveraging technologies to ensure value and exceptional customer service.

Brandon graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems with a minor in Business Management from the University of Mississippi. At the University, he learned to write code in multiple languages, designed and implemented information technology systems, and mastered essential business software.

Outside of work, Brandon enjoys the constant pursuit of learning and growth through reading, being outdoors, running, and hobbies with his family. Brandon is married to his high school sweetheart, Summer, and they have two children, Benjamin and Baylah. They reside in Tupelo and attend Harrisburg Baptist Church.

Stacey Raper

Office Manager

As Office Manager at Hardy Reed, LLC, Stacey supports both advisors and clients in all aspects of the firm’s wealth management operations. Based in the Tupelo office, she oversees day -to-day administrative functions, coordinates client communications, and helps ensure a seamless and responsive experience for every client served.

Stacey’s responsibilities include preparing quarterly performance reports, scheduling account reviews, managing account reporting services, and maintaining the efficiency of key operational processes. With extensive experience in administrative and client-facing roles, she plays an essential part in helping Hardy Reed remain organized, proactive, and client-focused.

Outside of work, Stacey is married to Philip Raper, and together they have four children. They are active members of The Orchard Church in Tupelo.

Anthony Savage

Financial Adviser

Originally from Newcastle, Australia, Anthony became a member of the Hardy Reed team in July 2023. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Newcastle, which has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and strategies. Anthony possesses his Series 65 and AIF® designation, and is eager to pursue additional qualifications.

In addition to his enthusiasm for finance, Anthony is a dedicated sports fan, engaging in various athletic activities throughout Oxford—from playing recreational pickleball with friends to regularly attending Ole Miss games. As a former college basketball player, Anthony brings a unique perspective to his professional life, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and collaboration as essential components of success in any field.

In 2020, Anthony and his wife, Molly, relocated to Oxford. They actively participate in the community and are thrilled to continue discovering all the unique and wonderful experiences that Oxford has to offer.

Frank Riley, Jr.

Financial Adviser

Frank joined Hardy Reed in 2020 as a financial advisor. At Hardy Reed, Frank embraces the tools and team to help clients, big or small, achieve their goals—just as he has done personally during his career at Hardy Reed. From discovery to implementation, your plan is our plan.

Frank also holds the position of Research Associate at Mississippi State University. As a representative of the University, he interacts with local governments and elected officials and has assisted numerous organizations with research, training, and service.

Frank earned his bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University and an MBA (Finance) from Millsaps College.

Civic Interests:  An active member of the community, Frank serves in statewide volunteer leadership with Methodist Senior Services of Mississippi and the Family Impact Symposium. Locally, Frank is a ten-year board member of the Madison County Schools PTO. As Committee Chairman for Troop 15 (BSA) in Madison, Frank passes on the knowledge and experience he learned as an Eagle Scout. In recent years, Frank has served as Chair of both Leadership Madison County and Youth Leadership Madison County. Frank’s accolades include Staff Volunteer of the Year at Mississippi State University and a “Top 40 under 40” by the Mississippi Business Journal.

Rachel Morgan

Client Services Associate

Rachel Morgan directs client needs and communications for Hardy Reed’s Oxford office. Whether helping with retirement plans or scheduling clients for account reviews, Rachel keeps the Oxford office up-to-date and on task.

Rachel graduated from The University of Mississippi School of Business Administration in 2010 with a B.B.A. in marketing.

Yale P. Murphy

Senior Fiduciary Consultant

Yale is a Senior Fiduciary Consultant at Hardy Reed, specializing in qualified retirement plans and fiduciary governance. With almost 20 years of experience advising clients in audit-sensitive environments, Yale helps plan sponsors understand their regulatory obligations, mitigate fiduciary risk, and implement strong administrative controls. He holds both a Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Accountancy from Millsaps College.

Yale has maintained an active presence within Mississippi’s professional community. He has served on the board and in various leadership positions with the Mississippi Society of CPAs and the Financial Planning Association of Mississippi.

Yale is a CPA. He also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation.

A lifelong Mississippi resident, Yale and his family currently live in Madison and attend St. Francis of Assisi, where Yale volunteers as a youth leader. When he is not studying fiduciary best practices, Yale enjoys playing tennis and attending Ole Miss sporting events.

Gary Wilson joined Hardy Reed as a senior financial advisor in 2025 with over 25 years in experience in the asset management industry working with individuals, families, endowments, foundations, and pension plans.

Gary earned his MA in International Relations & Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He also has a BA in History from Colgate University. He holds a Series 65 license and earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2005.

Civic Interests: Gary serves on the vestry of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Oxford, where he is also on the budget & finance committee. Gary has been active with Boy Scouts as an assistant scoutmaster as well as chairing the Friends of Scouting fundraising efforts. He also serves on the board of Blackjack Sailing which offers sailing camps and lessons on Sardis Lake.

Grantham Hill

Grantham joined Hardy Reed in 2025 as an Advisor/Relationship Manager. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as a Retirement Plan Solutions Advisor at Renasant Bank. He holds a BBA in Finance from Mississippi State University and maintains both the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and Certified Retirement Plan Professional® (CRPP®) designations.

Cheryl McInnis

Client Services Associate

Cheryl McInnis is a Client Services Associate at Hardy Reed, where she helps manage the day- to-day operations of the Oxford office. Her responsibilities include office management, scheduling account reviews, and supporting clients and advisors.

After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi, Cheryl began her career in sales and marketing, developing strong communication and client-service skills. She later devoted 20 years to raising her family, and now, as an empty nester, she is excited to return to the professional world, bringing organization, attention to detail, and a relationship-focused approach to Hardy Reed.

Cheryl and her husband, Winn, live in Oxford, Mississippi, and have three daughters. An avid sports fan, she especially enjoys cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels.

Steven Hyland Keen

Client Services Representative

As a career changer from professional singer and conductor to aspiring financial adviser, Hyland brings a unique perspective to the Hardy Reed team. During his years as a professional musician, he developed strong analytical abilities, adaptability, and strategies for effective teamwork with people of all backgrounds.

Hyland holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of North Texas as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Voice from the New England Conservatory in Boston. He is currently enrolled in the Boston Institute of Finance Certified Financial Planner Program.

Growing up in Amory, Hyland is excited to be back in North MS near family and friends and looking forward to providing holistic advice to assure clients achieve their long-term financial goals.
